COPPA, ERate, CIPA, FERPA. With technology in the classroom comes a veritable alphabet soup of regulatory requirements intended to keep our children safe and secure. We will discuss tools and resources to help administrators navigate these important topics.

A California native who spent 15 years in Washington D.C., Alan Simpson has extensive experience connecting the two communities. Simpson has a deep background in public policy, and has testified before the U.S. Congress, the FCC, the FTC, and the California State Senate. He drives policy and communications at iKeepSafe, an international coalition working to help all children learn and thrive with digital media and technology. Previously, he served as senior director of communications at GreatSchools, vice president for policy with Common Sense Media, and senior director for marketing and communications at the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
