Brooke Carey Ahrens works as the Director of Educational Innovation at Notre Dame High School, San Jose.  Her career in education began over 15 years ago as middle school English and social studies teacher. Interests in student engagement and literacy led her to pursue an MA in Education, and a Masters in Library Information Science focused on youth librarianship. Brooke has taught at the middle, high school and college level and is devoted to increasing students' literacy skills through the use of educational technology. She is a Google Certified Innovator, has presented at ISTE, CUE, CLSA, CLA and Internet Librarian conferences. She serves as board secretary for Silicon Valley CUE and completed Krause Center for Innovation's Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) program in 2019.
